Walkden Gardens
Off Derbyshire Road, Sale
Walkden Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful hideaway close to the centre of Sale. It is known locally as 'The Maze' because it consists of several 'rooms' leading off from the main ornamental grass walkway. If you explore, you will find interesting features such as the fuchsia garden, open-air theatre lawn and wisteria arch. The site has improved so much that it has won a Green Flag Award for its high standards.

Worthington Park
Worthington Park is located on Cheltenham Drive in the centre of Sale. The park has been redeveloped with the planting of 27,000 native trees. The main planting scheme originates from plants purchased from the Sale Botanical Gardens using late Victorian planting styles.
