“Henrietta of the Fifth”
Production by Trafford College
Henrietta of the Fifth" is a new play by local writer, Peter Clark.
Set in England during the height of The Second World War, the play
follows a group of urban evacuees as they are forced to move to a new
school in the country. Tension flares as classes clash and rationing
bites. The staff try to figure out a way to make the girls work
together on a shared project- a play. The girls are unwillingly made to
perform Shakespeare's Henry V. Backstage tempers fray, loyalites are
tested and the girls learn the true meaning of the glory and the cost of
war. A breathtaking production by these seasoned young performers – you are guaranteed to be entertained.
